Eurowizja 2021: Blind Channel
Blind Channel to zespół rockowy, który powstał w fińskim Oulu w 2013 r. Grupę tworzą wokalista Joonas Porko, do którego potem dołączyli Niko Molainen, Joel Hokka, Olli Matela, Aleksi Kaunisvesi i Tommi Lalli. Co ciekawe - wszyscy uczyli się w jednej szkole. Kariera Blind Channel rozwinęła się bardzo szybko - w 2014 r. zespół zakwalifikował się na festiwal muzyki metalowej Wacken Open Air. Wkrótce podpisał pierwszy kontrakt płytowy. W 2016 i 2018 r. ukazały się dwie pierwsze płyty Blind Channel - ''Revolutions'' i ''Blood Brothers''. Drugi krążek zyskał nominację do nagrody Emmy. W marcu 2020 zespół wyda ł trzecią płytę ''Violent Pop''. w lutym 2021 r. ogłoszono, że Blind Channel wygrało fińskie preselekcje do Eurowizji. Z piosenką ''Dark Side'' grupie udało się awansować do sobotniego finału. Zespół za swoje inspiracje uważa m.in. Linkin Park czy 30 Seconds to Mars
Eurowizja 2021. Finlandia - ''Dark Side''
O piosence pisze się jako o fińskim powrocie do korzeni. Od dawna nie było w Eurowizji wysokiego miejsca ciężkich brzmień, ale to przecież piosenka ''Hard Rock Hallelujah'' dała Finlandii zwycięstwo w 2006 r. Dopracowany w każdym celu i niezwykle energiczny występ Blind Channel zdaje się raczej nawiązywać do czasów świetności innych fińskich formacji - HIM czy The Rasmus. Ciekawe, że sami tegoroczni reprezentanci Finlandii na Eurowizji definiują swój styl nie jako rock, ale agresywny pop.
