Balmoral ruszył w rejs śladami Titanica [ZDJĘCIA]

Rejs wyruszył w niedzielę z portu w Southampton do Cherbourga, a następnie do irlandzkiego Cobh. Z powodu bardzo wysokich i groźnych fal Balmoral zawinął do tego ostatniego portu z dwugodzinnym opóźnieniem. Jak podaje portal DailyMail.co.uk, jeden z pasażerów stwierdził:

Niektórzy z nas mają złe przeczucia, że może podróż jest naznaczona przez zły los.

Na szczęście nikomu nic się nie stało. Dziś w nocy Balmoral wyruszył w dalszą trasę. Z 14 na 15 kwietnia ma dotrzeć w miejsce katastrofy - dokładnie w stuletnią rocznicę. Pasażerowie na statku pojawili się w strojach z epoki.

W nocy z 14 na 15 kwietnia w miejscu katastrofy zostanie odprawione nabożeństwo w intencji ofiar. W katastrofie Titanica zginęło 1 517 osób. Ponad 700 zdołano uratować. Na rejs szlakiem transatlantyku wybrała się także grupa potomków ofiar katastrofy, która tak właśnie chce ich upamiętnić.
